My first sewing blog

Hi. This is my first blog and it's about time that I start sharing my sewing stories. My late mother taught me to sew as a child. It is a skill that I have built on over the years. In the past two years, I started Teaching Textiles classes to middle years students. This has broadened my horizons in so many ways. School holidays are here and it's time to pick up my sewing projects and get stuck into it. I am currently working on a basic top for summer. The pattern that I am using is one that I drafted myself. It is the first time in my 28 years that I have had the courage to fully create something of my own. Over the years I have used lots of purchased patterns. I felt it was well overdue to be original. Let's see how it goes. I should get it finished tomorrow. I will post a final picture of it.
